performance workshops

I regularly work with young people to produce theatre work.
 
For several summers I ran a two week project 'Unusual theatre in unusual spaces' with Z Arts, Hume Garden centre and Venture Arts.
 
Our productions start with 'skilling up' the young people. Encouraging them to improvise, devise, compose, write, direct, and perform. Using a mix of installation, and audience participation and walkabout form, the final piece is performed at Hulme Garden Centre. Performances have included; 'Alice & Brian in Wonderland', and 'Are you Welcome'.
I was thrilled to have directed 'The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe' with Z arts young performers in May 2019. And a final show with Z arts in February 2020 'The Absolutely Insidious and Utterly Terrifying Truth About Cat Hair'.
This time we are working towards a mid scale production of Alice in Wonderland 2022
